ChessRadarPro can detect chess positions from virtually any source — scanned old chess books, Google Images thumbnails, YouTube video frames, Twitch streams, online chess platforms, and more. The AI model recognizes both digital and printed chess diagrams with high accuracy.

No. Only the specific rectangular area you select is sent to our server. The image is processed in memory, a chess position (FEN) is returned, and the image is immediately discarded. No full-page screenshots are captured, and nothing is stored on our servers.

Stockfish runs entirely in your browser using WebAssembly. No position data is sent externally for analysis. You can adjust the search depth and see the top 3 engine lines, along with best move arrows drawn on the board.

Guest users get 5 free scans per day. Signing in with Google bumps this to 20 scans/day. Premium members ($6/month or $60/year) get unlimited scans across all their signed-in devices.

ChessRadarPro is a Chrome browser extension and works on desktop versions of Google Chrome. Mobile browsers do not currently support Chrome extensions, but you can use ChessRadarPro on any desktop computer with Chrome installed.

Premium memberships are managed through Buy Me a Coffee. You can cancel anytime from your Buy Me a Coffee account dashboard. Your premium benefits will continue until the end of your current billing period.

Try drawing a tighter selection box around just the chess board, excluding any surrounding text or UI elements. If the board is very small, try zooming in on the page first. You can also manually edit any incorrect pieces using the built-in board editor (click the pencil icon).
